Our story

From a Norwegian
roofing company
to a global system.

Clientive started as a one-man media-buying shop in 2023 under a different name. Two years and a stack of trade clients later, we rebranded around what we actually do: bringing clients to contractors. Same hands, bigger system.

We grew up around the trade.

Our founder Jonas was raised inside a roofing company. His dad has run one in Northern Norway his whole life. Ladders, thermoses, vans, 6am starts in the snow. That’s the world we understand. It’s why we only work with trade businesses, and it’s why we talk to crews like crews, not like marketing personas.

Most contractor-marketing agencies have never set foot on a job site. We have. That’s the whole difference.

Most contractor agencies were lazy. We didn’t want to be one of them.

We watched the same pattern over and over. Agencies racked up 300 contractor clients, launched one set of ads on day one, then forgot the account existed. Same generic copy, same stock photo, same boosted-post energy across every roofer in the country.

Meanwhile, the e-commerce side of the industry was testing hundreds of creatives a month, iterating weekly, treating ad accounts like portfolios. The gap was insulting.

We wanted to bring that level of rigour to home-improvement, with people who’ve actually been in the industry running it. That’s the entire reason Clientive exists.

A real system. Not a service menu.

Today we run the full client-acquisition stack for trade businesses across the UK and US. Meta ads, custom landing pages, quiz funnels, AI follow-up, CRM hygiene, backend reactivation flows. Front to back, all under one roof, all built and run by the founder.

We rebranded from SchjollMedia to Clientive in 2025 because the work outgrew the old name. The hands behind the work haven’t changed. They never will.

Four rules
we won’t bend.

A small set of principles, but every decision in the company runs through them. If a project breaks one, we don’t take it.

Trade-only. Always.

No e-commerce, no SaaS, no info-products, no coaches. We turn down fit-anyone retainers every month. Roofers, landscapers, HVAC, fencing, windows, solar, bricklaying. That’s the list. The depth comes from the focus.

Built before sold.

We test new offers, hooks, funnels, and follow-up sequences inside our own family roofing business first. Only the ones that survive ship to clients. You’re never the lab rat.

Revenue, not vanity.

We don’t report on impressions, reach, or CTR. We report on quotes booked, jobs won, cost per appointment, return on spend. The numbers your accountant cares about, not the ones an agency uses to look busy.

Founder on every account.

No SDR, no junior closer, no “account manager”. The person who builds your system is the person who answers your messages and runs your weekly call. We cap our roster instead of stacking 300 logos and praying.

Hi, I’m Jonas. I grew up inside my dad’s roofing company in Northern Norway. Ladders, thermoses, the smell of bitumen on a Saturday morning, all of it. I started running ads and building funnels for trade businesses in 2023 under the name SchjollMedia. By 2025 the work had outgrown the name and we rebranded to Clientive.

I run every client account personally. I write the strategy, sit in on the test calls, watch the dashboards, ship the iterations. There’s no inherited account-manager layer between you and the person actually pulling the levers, on purpose. That’s the whole point of the company.

When I’m not on a client call, I’m usually on a plane. Most of my time is split between Norway, the UK, and wherever a client wants me on the ground for a week.
